Avon Central School District has an immediate opening for a Teaching Assistant in the High School Library

Avon Central School District is the center of learning for approximately 1,000 students from Universal Pre-K through grade 12. Located in northern Livingston County, the district combines the benefits of a tight-knit rural community with proximity to the technology and cultural opportunities of Rochester, New York, just 20 miles to the north.

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

TA Certification is required for this position.

NYS TA Certification requirements:

• Education - High School Diploma or GE
• New York State Teacher Certification Exam - ATAS
• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification
• Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention
• Workshop - Training in Harassment, Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Discrimination in Schools: Prevention and Intervention (DASA training)
• Fingerprint Clearance
